For those of you who follow the reality series The Apprentice you are familiar with the finale. The runner-up, Rebecca, explained the reason why the Yahoo! sponsored charity event she managed did not raise money for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation was due to the executives at Yahoo! requesting that their V.I.P.S. not be approached for charity contributions.
Talk about the corporate mindset at Yahoo! not seeing the forest for the trees. What the hell were they thinking?
Fortunately Yahoo! made up for their stumble by announcing a 50K contribution to the charity during the same episode.
