T-minus 2 days, 11 hours

That is how much time I have of freedom.

I've got to get rid of this sinus headache before school starts. Otherwise I won't be able to study effectively. I'm sure I've got a sinus infection. It has been a week solid of taking Advil Sinus to relieve the pain. The drainage is bright green so I know my ability to build a database of information and formulate a diagnosis is being honed!

The Fates Have Spoken
This past Friday started out with me loading my two boys into the car (officially known as 'Poppa's Car') to go to day care. Within a few miles, and along a busy highway, the car broke down.

Grandma saved the day. Kids finally in day care. Poppa's car towed to shop.

Friday afternoon and the phone call from the wife couldn't have been better timed.

"The brakes on the Ford have gone out and I'm stuck in Nashville."

Broken down Ford... $480
Broken down Toyota... $1,018
Two cars in the shop at the same time... PRICELESS!

Headache is overwhelming me now so I'm calling it a night.

Hopefully I will recover my sense of humor soon.

  2. I just paid $2000.00 for a catalytic converter. I am so knowing what you're going through. It's a good thing we're students, so we have plenty of money laying around for car repair bills.

  3. Ha! I'll just dig deep into my pile of cash that we dive into (think Scrooge McDuck).

  4. A rash of car trouble, it seems! I just replaced my front brake pads and did the big 60K mile maintenance today, and I'm due for new tires as well....
